Our Team

 

Pat McPherson

A long time IMPD officer and competitive martial artist, coach Pat has led IBG to win consecutive team titles at Indiana Golden Gloves. Among these winning teams have been two fighters that moved on to win the National Golden Gloves title under Pat’s guidance. Coach Pat is a black belt in jiu-jitsu with a wealth of experience coaching well known Midwest MMA fighters such as Chris Lytle and Andrew Holbrook and has coaching experience at the famed Tiger Muay Thai in Thailand.

John Braunsdorf

John is a co-founder of IBG with coach Pat. He is a life-long martial artist and helped build our program from the ground up. John is a brown belt in jiu-jitsu under Pat McPherson and offers a wealth of knowledge regarding fighter development and promotion. He often operates behind the scenes and is the reason our facility stays running smoothly.

 

Natalie Gage

Natalie Gage is a long time amateur boxing and amateur MMA competitor. She has won multiple Indiana Golden Glove titles and competed in the National Golden Gloves tournament. Natalie uses her competitive experience to instruct the boxing program at IBG.

Brandt Basaran

Brandt is a competitive grappler with a brown belt under Pat McPherson. Competing at jiu-jitsu tournaments such as Finishers and ADCC trials, Brandt brings a modern competitive jiu-jitsu skillset to the grappling program.

 

Islier Lopez

Islier is a veteran of the amateur boxing scene. Islier is an Indiana Golden Gloves Champion and runner up at the National Golden Gloves tournament. He applies his experience as an instructor for the boxing program at IBG.

Adalberto Tapia

Coach Tapia is a long time member of IBG’s coaching staff. He works with the boxing program and instructs all levels of participants. He is best known for his high volume style and loves to hold mitts for experienced pros and up and coming boxers in the program. He has helped to produce notable professional boxers such as Altair Tapia and Pablichiz Sanchez
